We have raised over 20 Abandoned Congo African Greys so experience counts.Our Greys has a fairly short tail.They are mostly grey with white around the eye area and a vibrant red tail.They are the normal African Grey race.They are known as the best talker of the parrot family, and studies have shown that this highly intelligent birds can actually understand and properly use human language to communicate with their owners which we have started training them on that.They can live a long time; anywhere from 30 to 70 years! These intelligent birds require a great deal of time and attention from their owner, and are not content to just be left in their cage.They love to talk, learn tricks, play and be cuddled, and tend to break into happy (and noisy) songs at least twice a day. Regular wing and nail clipping are required to maintain them, and daily cage cleaning is a must! We feed them with leafy greens, stems, flowers, flower vegetables, and fruits of flowering vegetables, for these are very good source of parrot food. The best part of them is that, unlike other birds, they can eat whatever healthy food that we eat, as long as the food does not cause allergy and sensitivity problems.

When feeding them also make sure the food contains the correct amount of cholesterol and calories reading.You should also make sure to avoid foods such as chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, kidney beans, Lima beans and avocados, because these foods are specifically very dangerous to Parrots.When you follow this rules,you will keep your birds healthy for the rest of their lives.
